Apple's new Genius aims to read your mind
Andy Ihnatko: If Apple's latest round of iPods is any indication, the future of the iPod line isn't in radical redesigns of the hardware. The 2008 iPods are quite lovely, sure. But the real draw -- and what's keeping the iPod line at the top of the heap in portable player, with plenty of air underneath it -- are the new software features that have been added to the iPod's built-in software, as well as to the desktop iTunes.
